Ain Lee Participates in ACT Festival 2023 Future Legends

Ain Lee's game, Sensory Cube, was demonstrated at the Asia Culture Center (ACC) at Gwangju, Korea from November 10th to 19th. Sensory Cube is a game that offers a sensory experience as a player explore three rooms where each room presents consciousness, unconsciousness, and subconsciousness.

Karam Eum Receives Gary Marsden Travel Awards

Karam Eum received the Gary Marsden Travel Awards from the ACM SIGCHI for attending CHI PLAY 2023 with her work, Growing Up with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and Games: Case Study on the Accessible Gameplay Experiences of the Young Players with CP and Their Families through the Lens of Developmental Task Perspective. Gary Marsden Travel Awards is a prestigious award that supports PhD students and early career researchers to attend ACM SIGCHI conferences.

Paper Accepted for CHI Play 2023 Presentations

We are pleased to announce PhD student Karam Eum’s submission to the CHI Play 2023 Growing Up with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and Games: Case Study on the Accessible Gameplay Experiences of the Young Players with CP and Their Families through the Lens of Developmental Task Perspective was accepted to CHI PLAY 2023. She and Professor Young Yim Doh will attend the conference and present their work on October 12th in Stratford, Canada.

Conference**: Inclusive Digital Museum Innovation Conference Held Successfully**

The ‘Inclusive Digital Museum Innovation’ conference was successfully held at the UCL Institute of Archaeology, on 5 July 2023. The conference, held as a part of the joint UK-SK research project for the Inclusive Digital Museum Innovation Project, brought professional practitioners and researchers together to exchange ideas on the emerging agendas in the realm of digital access, inclusion, and innovation in the museum context. On September 21st the second workshop for the joint UK-SK research project for the Inclusive Digital Museum Innovation Project was held successfully. Ain Lee Wins Korea Game Society Best Presentation Award

Ain Lee won the Best Presentation Award at the Korea Game Society conference in June 3rd with her scoping review, Expanding Sublime and Awe to Gaming Experience: Scoping Review.

Karam Eum and Her Teammates Participate in Unfold X 2022: Shaping the Future

The CHI 2022 Student Game Competition winner Classy Trash Monster by Joonhyung Bae, Karam Eum, Haram Kwon, Seolhee Lee is now being demonstrated and playable at the Unfold X 2022 festival (http://unfoldx.org/). The festival is held in S Factory A, Seoul from November 7-19 2022 (10 am-7pm). Classy Trash Monster is an educational game designed to teach machine learning and data dependency to non-major students. The game aims to let players learn basic steps to train a classification model, experience how data shortage and imbalanced data affects the model, and solve quests by training their own models. Check our game out if you wish to see how we can make machine learning feel less difficult and more relevant through gameplay!
